A Henry Stewart Masterclass Self-Invested Pensions Masterclass
• SIPPs and Suitability SIPPs are here to stay – that is now very clear. However SIPPs come in many different forms and are targeted at very different audiences. This has led to questions about the suitability of SIPPs in some circumstances whilst, at the same time, we have seen the emergence of workplace SIPPs as a potential replacement for the conventional group personal pension. To date, much of the focus has been on the accumulation phase of pensions savings. However, recently the emphasis has begun to shift towards the decumulation phase, where the options are rapidly increasing as the annuity market expands; heavily influenced by new entrants with experience in other territories – particularly the USA. There have also been some interesting new product developments from UK providers – but getting to grips with the structure and guarantees underpinning these products is not easy. Of late, we have also seen a stronger case made for the use of SSASs in some circumstances. The regulatory framework for SIPPs also remains a critical area for providers. There are signs that the costs – both direct and indirect – of regulation are now having an impact on the market. So what has the experience of providers been to date, what are the real implications, and how should advisers take account of this? This is the fourth year of the Self-Invested Pensions Masterclass which is recognized as a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of all current issues and developments in this field. With a high quality team of speakers you can be assured of a very informative and topical day with the opportunity to engage with industry experts. This conference – which complements the other firmly established Henry Stewart SIPP and SSAS conferences – aims to cover topics in rather more depth and is essential for all those involved in operating or advising on Self-Invested Pensions. Topics to be covered by our leading industry experts include: • SIPPs are Here to Stay – An Update on Findings from the 2008 Defaqto SIPP Report As usual, presentations will be fully documented and provided to all delegates on the day.
